Join the Global(x) Journey to Mentawai, Indonesia!

Embark on an unforgettable adventure from Thursday, 8th August to Wednesday, 14th August 2024, as we travel to Mentawai, Indonesia for a mission trip filled with meaningful work and cultural immersion. For approximately $1500, which includes flights and accommodation, you’ll experience the heart of Mentawai Islands of West Sumatra, Indonesia and make a tangible difference in the lives of the next gen of the local area.

Itinerary

Day 1 (Thursday, August 8):
Fly to Padang, West Sumatra - Via Kuala Lumpur. Overnight stay at Padang City.

Day 2 (Friday, August 9):
Flight to Sipora Island, Mentawai. Stay at Cahaya Logos Highschool Facility

Day 3 (Saturday, August 10):
Workshops at School, and serve at local Churches

Day 4 (Sunday, August 11):
Workshops, and Serve at local Churches

Day 5 (Monday, August 12):
Workshop and Mentoring

Day 6 (Tuesday, August 13):
Flight to Padang, Flight to Kuala Lumpur, Stay overnight in Kuala Lumpur

Day 7 (Wednesday, August 14):
Flight from Kuala Lumpur to Perth

CAHAYA LOGOS

Cahaya Logos Christian High School, our mission partner in West Sumatra, Indonesia, officially opened on March 18, 2024. This August 2024 marks the school's first student intake. The school aims to nurture future entrepreneurs and leaders with strong moral values.

Cahaya Logos Christian High School is dedicated to:
  • Inspiring Future Entrepreneurs: Providing a stimulating environment to develop entrepreneurial skills.
  • Delivering Quality Education: Offering modern facilities and experienced educators.
  • Promoting Holistic Development: Focusing on academic excellence and strong moral character.
  • Empowering Local Youth: Producing competent and ethically grounded graduates for the Mentawai community.
This will be The Rocks Church's inaugural trip to visit our Global(x) partner, Cahaya Logos. Hosted by founder Jemmy Suhadi, we will engage in serving local churches in Mentawai and interact with students boarding at the school, who hail from various parts of the surrounding islands. This trip offers us a unique opportunity to invest in their lives.

  • Power adaptor:  A power board can be handy.
