“Then Jesus came close to them and said, 'All authority of the universe has been given to me. [As My father has sent me, so I send you.]' Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

CAHAYA LOGOS
SMAK Cahaya Logos Christian High School, our mission partner on Siberut Island, Mentawai, Indonesia, officially opened on March 18, 2024. This August 2026 marks a significant milestone — the school’s first Year 12 graduation. The school is dedicated to nurturing future entrepreneurs and leaders grounded in strong moral values, with a focus on academic excellence, holistic development, and empowering local youth. The school currently has approximately 30 students across Years 10, 11, and 12, with 8–10 new Year 10 students joining this July.
Hosted by founder Jemmy Suhadi and school principle Gladys Suhadi, our team will serve, stay, spend time with local community and more importantly the school’s boarding students who come from various surrounding islands. This trip is a unique opportunity to invest meaningfully in their lives.

Activities
Not only do we get to live in school, invest and interact daily with students during our stay, we also have the privilege as a team to hold a Class or Workshop for a total of 3 sessions on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (??), themed around LifeSkills. The purpose is to help students see clearer, have their minds opened, and develop strong identity through our life’s testimonies, as most students have been living in poverty since childhood, which has shaped their mindset.
A Class/Workshop (90 mins) consists of:
The school offers general school subjects such as Math, Physics, Bahasa Indonesia, etc. However, the founder Jemmy and his daughter Gladys have added more subjects that they think are really crucial in building the students' mindset, inner beings and identity. They have been consistently speaking and teaching about Teamwork, Resilience, Discipline, Independence, and Emotional Intelligence (how to have a strong and tough mentality).
Feel free to explore topics, your skills/knowledge and/or your life testimony during these classes/workshops. Below are some topics that I have in mind:
