WELCOME
Over twenty years ago, a small group of young adults stepped out in faith, leaving the comfort and familiarity of our own church in Perth to start something new. We didn’t set out to build just another church because Perth already had plenty. But we believed our city needed a different kind of church. A church that truly welcomed those who felt far from God. A church built not just for ourselves, but for our friends, families, and neighbours who didn’t yet know Jesus.
By God’s grace, that vision became reality that is still unfolding. Today, The Rocks is a multisite church where very week, more than a thousand people—adults, youth, and children, gather to grow in faith, and invite friends into the story God is writing.

But we’re not finished. We believe God is calling us to a new season of impact. That’s why we’re launching 30x30. It’s s a church-wide generosity initiative to stretch our faith, maximise our collective generosity, and open new doors for Kingdom impact.

OUR PLAN FOR MISSION ADVANCEMENT
Train 30 high capacity leaders to become 5 individual core church plant teams by 2030.
We will train six unique roles for each new plant:
Lead pastorNext Generation Director
People Development Director
Service Programming Department Director
Youth and Young Adults Director
Ministry Services Director
Each of these individuals will undertake a 3 year training program
For this three year period they will be employed part-time by The Rocks in a ministry capacity.
They will also complete theological and leadership training at a tertiary level.

will be planted out
Either as a fresh plant or as a church revitalisation.

Staff roles will be primarily about the equipping and empowering of the next generation of leaders rather than ‘running the church’.

We will work as though it depends on us, but more importantly, pray as though it depends on God.
We will petition God to open doors and make a way for us to reach the 93% of Australians who don’t yet know Jesus.

The following chart is provided as a tool to help you plan your two-year engagement to the 30x30 vision. Through the current generosity of those who attend our churches, we would expect to receive approximately $3.5M in contributions over the next two years without 30x30.

JOSH AND SARAH'S STORY
We started going to The Rocks in late 2025, and it was our very first experience attending church in our mid-30s. We honestly didn’t know what to expect, but we’ve been pleasantly surprised.
From the very beginning we felt welcomed and quickly realised it was a great community to be a part of. We've really enjoyed the production, the music (which is epic!), and how relevant and practical the sermons are each week. We genuinely look forward to coming every Sunday. It’s become a weekly habit that we value deeply.
We’ve always cared about personal growth and growing stronger in our relationship and being part of The Rocks has felt like a natural extension of that. Learning more about faith has impacted us more than we could have imagined. Understanding that we are loved by God no matter what has brought a new level of peace and confidence into our lives. It’s helped us be more vulnerable, grow in self-worth, and ultimately grow in our relationship and business together. We now pray together every night and read the Bible together, which has brought a deeper sense of unity and alignment in our lives.
The Answer Course has also been such a great foundation for learning about Christianity. We’re so grateful for the leadership of Daniel and Alistair, who communicate in a way that makes faith easy to understand and apply. We’ve met some incredible people, invited friends along, and as an added bonus the coffee here is the best! The Rocks has truly blessed our lives and we’re so thankful to be part of it.
