Maybe you’ve been wondering about faith for a while, or you’re curious about what Christians believe. Maybe life feels uncertain, and you’ve got more questions than answers. Wherever you’re at, Alpha is a space to talk about those things – with no pressure, no cost, and no judgment.
For 8 weeks on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm, people from all walks of life come together, share a meal or light refreshments, watch a short video, and discuss big questions – things like, ‘Is there more to life than this?’ or ‘Why does faith still matter today?’. It’s a space where you can ask questions, share your thoughts, or simply listen.
Wherever you’re at in life or faith, there’s a seat for you at the Alpha table. Everyone’s invited, and it's 100% free. Every question matters.

What is Alpha?
Alpha creates space for people to ask questions, share stories, and explore the Christian faith together. Through a series of interactive sessions that create a safe and honest space, Alpha presents the basics of Christianity in an accessible and relevant way.
You don’t need to believe anything to be there! Whether you’re curious about life and meaning, or helping others explore it, Alpha is a place for everyone.

What if I'm not sure what I believe? Do I have to be religious to come to ALPHA?
Nope, that’s exactly what Alpha is for! You don’t have to pretend or have everything figured out. Alpha is for anyone curious about life, faith, or meaning, whether you go to church, used to, or never have. You don’t need to believe in God or know anything about the Bible. Just bring your questions and an open mind.
What does a session at ALPHA look like?
Alpha happens around the table. Every Alpha is built around three key elements:
- Connection: Every Alpha session begins around a table, sharing a meal or light refreshments, with time to meet new people, build friendships, and create a comfortable space for meaningful conversations. No awkwardness, just genuine connection.
- Content: Each Alpha session covers a different topic, designed to engage and inspire conversation. The videos explore ideas about life and faith, and unpack the basics of Christianity – addressing questions such as ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘Is There More to Life Than This?’, and ‘How can I have faith?’
- Conversation: Following the video, we discuss and share about faith and life stories in an informal, open & honest environment. For many, the best part of Alpha is the small group discussions. There’s no pressure, and there are no off-limits topics (and no wrong questions!)

It’s about looking for answers to life’s mysteries: Why am I here? What should I do with my life? What does it all mean?
Exploring faith in Jesus is a journey of discovering the story of humanity – a story that tells us each one of us is here for a reason and deeply loved by God. It’s an adventure that invites us to pause, reflect, and find genuine hope for the future.

Is ALPHA really free?
Yes! There’s no cost and no catch. It’s our joy to offer this space because we believe everyone should have the chance to explore life and faith freely.
Do I have to talk at ALPHA?
No, you’re welcome to just listen. Alpha is a safe space where you can be yourself. You’ll never be pressured to share or to believe anything. You can take part as much or as little as you like.
What if I try ALPHA and it isn't for me?
That’s completely okay. Many people come to Alpha just to see what it’s like. You can try one week and decide from there; no commitment, no awkward exit. However, most people find the conversations so genuine and welcoming that they want to return.
